One content platform to rule them all
Each Healthy.io product relies heavily on content editing and managing, and everyone is involved (dev, product, design) which creates a huge time waste.
Universe aims to be the one source of truth of all user facing content. One place for editing, one place for consumption, one single automatic streamline.
Different departments work with different tools to keep track on the content and they tend to rely on specific people who know how to tackle it. The new solution should:
This was a side project I was working on with one of our senior mobile developers and FE/BE developers. I was in charge of the design but since we did not have a dedicated PM here, I was also involved in defining the product requirements and user flow.
We set out the goals and requirements of each section in this new platform (homepage, space card, space editi mode) and then ran with design iterations. We then got input on the designs from relevant stakeholders in the company (our end users - PMs and developers) before finalizing and developing.
The project stopped midway through development due to lack of resources in the company.
We wanted the experience to reflect a faster way to edit and deliver new content, so the cards and drawer views allowed users to view and edit their content “spaces” quickly.
It was also a visual way helping our users grasp the concept of a “space” holding a certain type of content.
One of the main goals was to reflect the different stages of each content “space”:
The use of color on tags and cards was meant to communicate that in a simple and intuitive way.
Universe was planned and designed while our design system (DNA) was also expanding and developing, so I tried to use the components we already set as much as possible.
However, there were a few use cases which required some changes to our design system to support it.
